The Research Working Group will review existing science and highlight important research findings to support the other working groups. In addition they will identify gaps in knowledge and work to encourage research in those areas and when possible assist in coordinating research with funding opportunities.
The Technical Education Working Group will provide information to educate and inform technical advisors and landowners to ensure they have science based information for planning and decision making. The Technical Education Working Group will also develop a strategy for increasing and expanding education efforts and creating opportunities for implementation of training.
The Policy Working Group will identify state and federal policy impediments and develop strategies to address these obstacles, working with state and federal agencies and lawmakers to create and implement native grasslands vegetation-friendly policies. This group will provide guidance to Alliance members on messaging and when, where and how to get engaged.
The Awareness Working Group will work to expand overall awareness of the value of native grasslands vegetation for improving and maintaining water quality, soil health, soil conservation, carbon sequestration, pollinator and wildlife habitat, forage, recreation and spiritual health.
